Flowers, flowers, everywhere...

When it comes to picking out flowers for your big day sticking to seasonal varieties will keep the cost down.  Although if you want something out of season, most florists will still be able to meet your request.  Most brides start with the flowers they want in their own personal bouquet, but don't forget these flowers need to compliment the flowers you choose for your wedding party, the reception, etc.

Here are a few pictures of the flowers from my June, 2007 wedding.
My wedding pictures were taken by Picture This! Photography
My florist is currently taking time off due to the birth of her second baby, congrats Katie!

I absolutely love the elegance of orchids.

The look I really wanted was antique/modern (if there is such a thing).  I wanted huge, fully blooming, loose petal roses, with the structured look of cascading orchids.

The colors I went with were every shade of purple, green, and off-white.

Tall table arrangements allow for your guests to talk across the table without having to look around a giant vase.

We set up small silver vases in the reception hall.  When the bridesmaids arrived they had a place to put their flowers and I got to "reuse" their bouquets as arrangements for the reception.

Since we are no longer in the Summer wedding season and have FINALLY moved into fall, I've gathered some beautiful pictures of fall themed flowers from around the web, enjoy.

Personally, I love the cascading bouquet look!

Another fun trend is the ribbon or felt flowers (keep an eye out for a future post that features an Atlanta vendor that creates bouquets like this).  Super cute, and you can keep it forever!

I can just picture the bride that carries this bouquet: ivory, lace dress, dark red lipstick, smooth pulled back hairstyle.  Stunning.

Something about fern curls really intrigue me!

Simple, seasonal, sensational!
